Default Windows goes into stand by

Hi,
I am using a Gateway SOLO 9150, 366MHz, 354 MB RAM computer. A few days ago
the computer starts acting weird. Whenever I open "MyMailList" (Proventure),
the computer goes into stand by mode. I set everything to "Never" in the
Power Management so that it is always on. I also changed the settings in the
BIOS so it won't shut down. When I use other programs this does not happen
only with this particular Program.
I contacted the Software company, but I was told that this is a Windows
issue.
Please Help.
Thank you,
AJS
