Ah! The pleasure in using this newsgroup
I am so glad that I found this newsgroup. It is so much more friendly here
than the xp general newsgroup where you have people who are trolls who accuse you of using Microsoft products, usually do not say thank you and blame you when someone else uses an image and you suggest to the user to view the posts in plain text. A typical reply that happened recently was "well I use Agent and so I cannot view this newsgroup without html and I will not use crappy OE" My reply to this user was for them to try Mozilla Thunderbird. The user then shut up but I am so thankful to have everyone work well here as a community and when other newbies arrive they are forced to conform to certain rules or driven out because they refuse to comply. BTW, does anyone know of an XP newsgroup where they are more friendly and knowledgable than the general xp newsgroup? Thanks again everyone and have a great Sunday! |

True, but I highly doubt I will find one that is as good as this newsgroup.

I meant what I said. Go lurk in some of the non-general XP groups. Read,
don't post for a while. When you have a *question*, ask. Keep it succinct and on-topic. You'll find your niche. As you get more comfortable with the style, and you find that you have cogent advice to add to the conversation (not just comments in general), then add them. FWIW, most of the MVPs over there used to be denizens of this group. -- Gary S. Terhune MS MVP Shell/User "Dan" wrote in message ...
