That was lovely, Loon......and yes, I think like that too. Sometimes I
wonder if I perhaps expect too much from people (like honesty,
forthrightness, etc) and sometimes I wonder if I step over the line a
tad.

But hell, you know we are both getting up there and I can still hear my
dad (the doctor) saying at about 80 or so that now he had the *freedom*
to say what he thought and if people didn't like it, too bad. They
could just assume he was getting dotty.

I think it was then that I realized who I took after, grin. I just
didn't wait as long as he did.

Hugs.....Heather

We get lots of good shows 'down here'.......maybe I will put a few on
disc for you. I am the DOM (dirty old man), want to play with my
uticible, little girl?

"If for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for
buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante
garde on my patio, I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be
extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before
they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until
4 AM and sleep until noon?

I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60&70's, and
if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ......... I
will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging
body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to,
despite the pitying glances from the jet set.

They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is
just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important
things.

Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart
not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even
when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are
what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never
broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being
imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning
gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep
grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died
before their hair could turn silver

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about
what otherpeople think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even
earned the right to be wrong.

So, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have
become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here,
I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying
about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day. (If I
feel like it)" *source unknown*

Heirloom, old and nothing wrong with a little
testosterone in the movies

Just depends on how you interpret 'clutch'......there's no telling
what goes on north of the border. And, BTW, oh diseased one, as old
as I am, I am still younger than you!!! double bwa hahahahah.

Heirloom, old and will never be as old as a Figg

Damn.....you are all wrong, but I can't think of a word for Klatch,
and neither can Ron.

In essence Joan, he is saying we are meeting here for a *gossip*
and coffee. Like I care.....but as men are not allowed in a CC,
Loon can't join us. (VBG)

Figgs, wondering what the Loon is willing to do......at his
age......bwa ha ha

Talking of weather, Steven phoned me earlier to say he had snow
brrrrrr.
My
end of the country is wet but not with snow and it wasn't wet
until about
8
o'clock just when John got home from a show.
I've had a lovely quiet day g

Oh darn......got the wrong Province. And I think it is "cod
cheeks".
Not
about to find out by eating them. Rather like sweet
breads.....still
not
entirely sure they are the thymus gland. (G)

How's the weather in your parts?? Saw in the paper where
that highway
at
the top of NB and NS was closed down all night. I remember
how
mountainous that was, which I didn't expect. Poor folks who
were stuck
there all night!!

Cheers....Figgs
