What makes you think you need to?
Have you tried going to Windows Update and looking to see if it's offered? If it's not offered by WU, you can download it from the Windows Update Catalog for offline install -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2004, Win9x) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's or http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/f.../Mar27pmvp.asp "badbarnie" wrote in message ... how do i reinstall UPD812709? |

Noel,
That looks like a report by Belarc (they always seem to prefix the patch number with UPD) in which case the OP should reinstall all the patches that Belarc is telling them that are missing regardless of whether the WU site is offering them or not. As you mentioned they should instead download the patches from the Windows Catalogue. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP Noel Paton wrote: What makes you think you need to? That was my suspicion also, Mike - a quick check on my ME box shows that
this is indeed the case for this patch (seems that OS patches get UPD, WMP patches get WM, DX patches get (surprisinglyg) DX, and everything else gets what it should get - Q! -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2004, Win9x) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.btinternet.com/~winnoel/millsrpch.htm Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's or http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/f.../Mar27pmvp.asp "Mike M" wrote in message ... You get more detail with QFEcheck. Sometimes there'll be two patches flagged
as having the wrong version of a (the same) file. Re-installing the first patch will also fix the second. Shane "Noel Paton" wrote in message ...
