Default Can't Connect to Mail Server -Browser is fine

Can't connect to my mail server after a clean install of
Win98se. I saved the old mail profile files, etc but now can't
access the mail server. Browser connects fine.
I can Ping the ISP by URL but not by Name.
This almost identical machine connects to both Mail, News and
HTTP.with the same software.

Three machines on the LAN all Ping by Name and URL
A reinstall of the Mail Program was of no help.
A reinstall of DUN was of no help.
A reinstall of DUN14se was of no help.

Ideas?
