Encoding Problem
Everytime a web page is viewed in IE 6.0 all you see is red x's where the
graphics should be. If you go to "view" then to "encoding" then select "western european" then you can view the webpage normally. But you have to do this with EACH webpage you view. I asked a computer tech about it and he suggested upgrading to IE 6.0 and it has already been updated to that. I have tried system restore and even with a clean system it has this problem. Compaq Persario Windows 98 128MB RAM 11.2GB HD I tried upgrading to WinXP sometime ago and the internet worked great but had to take WinXP off due to not enough power to run it on this pc. Open to all suggestions on how to fix this ANNOYING problem. |

If you say Encoding problem,
when you start Internet explorer, what is actual encoding? check View Encoding, If that is not Western European, chek you Fonts and Language, in Internet Options under Internet Explorer or Control panel' (check latin based font in fonts, and check primary language in language preference) "rmendaann" wrote in message ...
