Default Reprogramming play key

I have Windows 98, xp and Vista. (long story). On the top of my keyboards
there is a play/pause button that is supposed to start playing music, but it
states that it has a dead link. How do I reprogram the key to point it to a
different media player?

Contact the manufacturer of the computer.

Click Start Settings Control Panel.
Double click the Keyboard applet.
If present, click the Key Settings tab.
Select the listed item you want to edit and click the Edit button.

If the above is not present, read the documentation for the make/model of your
keyboard on how to configure the keys.

You must use the software supplied with that brand
of keyboard (not mentioned here), possibly different
(or requiring different device drivers) for each operating
system.

first thing first, do you take out/or put back your keyboard connection,
and sees prompt you any some new device detect, if not, you need to install
new driver from your windows 98 cd disk to setup a new keyboard.

The keyboard, unless it is the same as the computer. (If you still have
it, check the box the keyboard came in for a driver disk. And hope it
has '98 drivers - most do though.) The manufacturer may however be hard
to determine.
