Email support not available - sorry.

Windows XP and Windows 98 both understand the FAT32 file system. However,
there is no guarantee that the two machines you are using will both access
the hard drive in the same way. If that happens then the drive may be seen
as unformatted or it may seem to have a very large number of errors on it.

Instead of a hard drive, use a USB memory stick or similar device, and copy
the data from the device to the hard drive.

thanks guys, the program that I wanna run does not have to be
installed, its Agent news reader and it runs from anywhere,I don't even
know why they call it being installed cause I can run 2 copies from
different dirs,as far as I know Agent, only needs to be exploded from
the archive, which is what they called being installed, but if that does
happen, then I have agent on the other machine anyway, but its really
hard to update headers in both machines, thats why I just wanna run it
from the slave hd in this win98 machine. The most I need to do is copy
mp3 files from the pc in the city cause I don't wanna record to cd
with out having prepared the files on my end for storage.I work the
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3 groups.I have right now 3 gb of collections
waitin on the other pc.don't wanna waste cds right away for a
transfer, just to get them home here.Heck,I can't even make cds right
now cause my careless family in there have put a dvd writer in the
machine thinking it was what I wanted haha.We tried to write mp3s
directly using a program called hyperlink or cyberlink or whatever its
called and it messed up cds on me.But anyway...I will give it a
try,the most I will want to do if Agent will not run off that HD is
just copy mp3s onto it then,do u know if that simple routine will
work..I'll check the replies on Sat pm,I don't go in till mondays
anyway to spend time at the familys unlimited cable dsl haha.thanks
