how can I print to a shared printer, connected to an windows 98 computer in
another lan?

Please explain what you mean by 'another LAN'? Domain? Workgroup?

A PC can only be in a single WorkGroup at one time. You'd have to leave the
current WorkGroup, reboot, Join the second WorkGroup, reboot and then print.
