PC With a Windows98 OS(German)

I have a very good but slightly old Compaq PC which has W98 format but in
German. Is it possible to a,upgrade to Windows XP but with it in English??. I
have approached several local suppliers with the same question but as yet
nobody can give me an actual straight answer as to whether this is possible,
and, if so, which software I need.
I would appreciate any!! help..

You could always change the current language to English...

Unless you have something you want to save, you could just do a fresh
install of XP. If your XP CD is an upgrade CD, there's a point in the
install that will ask for a qualifying product to qualify. Then you can
insert your 98 CD, or a 95, or ME CD... even the old 3.1 disks I think. If
you've got any of those....

Check out HP's website, since many Compaq pcs need drivers that are NOT on
Store boought windows, you may be able to download hardware drivers for XP,
or it may tell you whether it will work with XPs native driver set, even if
it is worth while doing at all, since a rocket(?) on win98 becomes a snail
on XP.

Dont just use an update cd on a Compaq
