Default New Drives?

With WindowsXP and now Server 2k3 its possible to divide up your existing
hard drive into smaller drive letters (instead of 1 40GB C: drive do 1 30GB
C: and 1 10GB F: for example). I was wondering if this was possible with
windowsME and if so how?

In Win 9x systems drive division or rather partitioning can only be done
from DOS using the same tool as XP - that is FDISK. The difference being
that XP has a GUI (Disk Management) that allows a user to partition a new
drive. Third party tools exist such as Symantec's Partition Magic that
allow partitions to be dynamically created, deleted and resized in both
Win 9x and NT/XP systems.

See KB255867 - "How to Use the Fdisk Tool and the Format Tool to Partition
or Repartition a Hard Disk" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=255867
