Default help tcpip in win98

husband bought old box from work - running win 98 - we
have cable modem - the box was on a network and i need to
get to share my internet connection - tried to release
and renew with winipconfig but its still looking for a
dhcp server and I tried to reconfig the card by setting
up wins dns etc but to no avail. got any suggestions - I
havent done this for a while so I have likely forgotten
something as well. - lastly there is no win 98 support
for my cable modem or 802.11g wireless network (sigh_:
