I think he must mean Terhune's governor-- that monster cyborg
Schwarzenegger! Didn't he visit Bloomberg recently here in N.Y.?

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
Naturally, you will not sue,

DO NOT POST HiJackThis RESULTS HERE! There are forums dedicated to the
analysis of HJT logs and those are the places to post HJT logs. Where people
like "letterman", who know zilch about analyzing HJT logs, can't gum up the
works. You post the log and truly knowledgeable people analyze it, with no
ill-advised (and just plain wrong) comments from the peanut gallery. OP has
bad enough problems already.

Please explain how one should obtain AVG, HJT, even FF, without being able
to go online with the existing browser.

Your "opinions", especially of the various OSes, are clearly those of an
ignorant fool.

Are you infected with spyware? It sounds possible.
Get a copy if "hijack this" post the test results on here.

Set your homepage to BLANK.

Get rid of Avast. I had trouble with that POS too.
Get AVG. Its free adn works pretty well.

DISABLE AVAST for the moment. Go to STARTUP, disable all references
to Avast. Reboot, then try this all over again.

I hope you know if you buy a NEW computer, you wont be able to run
Win98 on it. It will come with Vista (you dont want vista).
For awhile you could get a new computer with XP, I am not sure if they
are still doing that. I personally dont want XP either. Win98 is
where I stop. WinME was the same as Win98 with a few additions but
more bugs. Win2K was tolerable, but not to my liking. XP is
garbage, and Vista is a disaster.

Since you posted this message you ARE online, right?
You just cant get IE to work. Have you installed Firefox?
Brt you'll like it better and it;s free.

I can only send and receive e-mail since I didn't let AVAST handle my e-mails from
the beginning. But I can not click on any links and get online. I have firefox on my
desktop but I can not get anything but "this page can not be displayed" or a time out
when trying to load. I can not get online (When it was working, I tended to use IE6
more. Avast has be removed with their removal tool, in safe mode; with add/remove
programs with and without safe mode at least 20 times. Avast does not answer my
e-mails. I don't have Avast on my computer but it is in my browsers. Ginny

What is back is a ball with a spyglass (ball is Avast icon) at the bottom of my IE
page next to the numbers of my home page, the whole rest of the page including the
'go to' line are blank. Eventually I get an error message. I cannot get online!!!!

This is AFTER uninstalling Avast!? If Avast is installed (and you might want
to go ahead and do that again) there should be two blue balls in the System
Tray (where the clock is). Right-click the one with an "a" on it and pause
all providers. Does that fix it? (I'd wait to reinstall Avast until after
running the cleanup tool, and when installing again, BE SURE to uncheck the
option that has it do a full scan after restarting.
