Image preview not working for jpg files

i have windows 98 and i cannot see the image preview of
jpg files on the left hand pane of my folder when i select
the file. i even click on the "view as web page " option
but still its not working. although i can see the preview
of bmp pictures and html files but it doesn't seem to work
for jpg files. please help .

This can also occur if the file association for the type
of file you are trying to preview has been changed or
damaged by third-party programs.
Go to Doug Knox's web site, click Utility, download and run
"Repair Image Preview and Thumbnail View"

thanx for suggesting the solution. but when i try n run
the file fixpix.vbs an open with dialog box appears. what
program is to be associated with this file type???

seem to execute on my comp. an open with dialog box
appears when i double click the said file. which program
should i use to run the file.

fixpix.vbs should run itself, go to windows update and look for Windows
Scripting host update
