Microsoft Millenium Edition - Runtime Error 424 Object Required

I am getting an error message "Runtime Error 424 Object
Required" This error appears when I attempt to log on the
internet or in some cases when the computer is going
through it's logon process. This error causes my machine
to lockup and I am unable to use it. It is an endless
cycle. Please help

Has this always happened or just started? If recent what changes were made to
your system immediately prior to this problem starting? This error could well
be the result of now having unwanted malware on your PC? Have you checked
using applications such as AdAware, Spybot S&D, BHODemon and similar?

If only a recent occurrence try using system restore to roll your system back
to the state it was in before this problem started although I would only
recommend that you take this approach if it means going back a few days,
perhaps a week at most.
