Default Windows ME from upgrade CDROM

Hello,

I replaced my HD with a new one and want to reinstall ME
from my ME upgrade CDROM. This is a clean HD install.

The cleanhd.txt indicates to boot from the ME recovery floppy with CDROM
support. This works fine. But when I try to execute:

f:\setup.exe

to start the ME install. I get the error:

'This program requires Microsoft Windows.'

The ME CD I have is laser-imaged with Authentic Microsoft and I have the
original laser product key ID code.

Any ideas on why this won't run?

Mike

Have you fdisk'd and formatted the HD??
Do you have a 'qualifying product' CD available ?? (or there's no point in
continuing anyhow)

In addition, you may need to run setup from the winme folder on the CD
