Unhappy OEM setup

I have an old Gateway that no longer works. Am trying to install ME on another computer, but can't because it is not Gateway. Any way around this?

No. When the Gateway died so did the license for the copy of Windows that
came with it.

If the original Gateway computer still worked it would be perfectly ok
to re-install the OEM version of Win ME on that computer as it was
originally supplied with it, but OEM OS versions are deliberately
designed to only work on the brand of computer they were originally
supplied with, so if you were to find another similar Gateway computer
you could install it on that, as it would still be only on one computer
(the original one being knackered).
Regards Mike.
