Default Windows ME error message

Hi,

if I try to open explorer, control panel, my computer,
etc, I am told "Explorer has caused an error in
unknown....etc"

I have the most up to date versions of stinger, CWShredder,
Ad Aware, Spybot search and destroy and AVG anti-virus, and
they are all coming up clean. I am using Windows ME. I
have even tried BHODemon. Nothing seems to work.

does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Did any find anything the first time you ran them? - if so, what?
look here for instructions on how to clean up your startup axis, preventing
unnecessary programs loading
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.php

Have you tried a 'clean' boot?
