Default what is 'fequency out of range' message

I changed my resolution settings and now when i turn the
pc on i can hear windows 98 loading and the music but i
get a screen saying ' fequency out of range' what is this
and how do i fix it please. when this appears it then
goes to a black screen.

Default what is 'fequency out of range' message

You have changed your video settings to a format that the monitor cannot
handle. Boot Windows in safe mode and change the settings back to what they
were. In order to prevent similar problems in the future, find and set the
option that allows you to preview video settings before they are
implemented.
