Default Windows 98 & Wireless Networking

I have recently purchased a new PC running XP with
broadband internet access. I want to connect my older PC
(running Windows 98) via a wireless network. My question
is, assuming that I use a suitable router, what type of
wireless card will work with Windows 98 or is it not
possible to achieve a reliable connection? Is it more
feasible to install say Windows 2000 instead as I know
that wireless cards work fine with that setup.

Most wireless cards that I've seen work with Windows 98 Second
Edition. Check the retail box or the manufacturer's web site for
information on a particular card.

If you have the original version of Windows 98, there are fewer
choices. I've used these wireless network adapters successfully on
original Windows 98:

USB: Netgear MA101, Netgear MA111
Cardbus: Netgear MA401, Microsoft MN-520

According to their web pages, these adapters should work on original
Windows 98, too:

Cardbus: Orinoco Classic Gold PC Card
PCI: Netgear MA311, Orinoco 11b
