Default Setup going too fast!

While reinstalling ME on a clean hd setup starts going too fast and skips the
part where I am supposed to choose "Typical" or "Custom" and skips the part
where I am supposed to enter my Product Key and name and organization. Of
course when it has completed I get "An error has
occured...Error:0D:0108:0000D0E4

It is a HP Pavilion XE783 and the recovery/system/application software is the
3 CD's that came with the computer. They are fairly old and during setup I
received a couple of "bad file table" errors.

Try downloading an ME boot disk he
http://www.allbootdisks.com/index.ph...er&filecatid=3
and try running a scandisk on the volume (drive). Download the
"Windows ME without a RAMDrive..." disk. You have to create the boot
disk with the file you downloaded, the instructions are he
http://www.allbootdisks.com/disk_creation.html If you can't do the
scandisk with the ME boot disk you should be able to do it with a DOS
6.22 boot disk.
