Default Remote connections problem

Hi,

I am getting the following error while connecting to
Windows 2000 terminal server from a remote desktop having
windows 98 with Remote Desktop connectivity.

The following is the error:

The client could not establish a connection to the remote
computer.

The most likely causes for this error a
1) Remote connections might not be enabled at the remote
computer.
2) The maximum number of connections was exceeded at the
remote computer.
3) A network error occurred while establishing the
connection.

I have tried several ways to sort out the issue, but not
succeded.

INFORMATION: 1. Remote connections are enabled, no issues
2. We have enough licences, no issues
3. There is no network error, I am getting a
very good ping response from remote system to server vice-
versa.

Please help me how to sort it out the above problem

This would be best asked in a network ng: =
microsoft.public.win98.networking

You might want to be much more specific to get a quicker proper =
suggestion/resolution.
Do you have a user account setup in the server for the 98 machine? It =
may be that without a user account it's being denied access.
How many machines are on the network? This could be another reason if =
their are more than 10 when the limit of machines to connect is 10. It =
has nothing to do with licenses.

Be as specific as possible when posting to the network ng.
Type of network
What OS's are on the network
Protocols/components installed

Instead of " I have tried several ways to sort out the issue, but not =
succeeded", be explicit about what you tried to resolve the issue. They =
are not mind readers, please help others help you.

If you have Spybot and or Adaware make sure the extension
of the terminal is not blocked in their blocked host list.
Had that problem with trying to connect to my AV updater.
