Trial program - PITA
I "tried out" a graphics program. Not unpredictable it set itself up as
my default viewer. How do I kick it out? Jim L -- To h___ with Iraqi democracy! Withdraw the troops! Or something!!! |

Here's a free one that you may like--install it and set it up as your
default viewer. I have 4 now. What I need is a way to reduce that by 1 in particular.

Easiest way in most cases is to reinstall the application that you *want* to
have the associations. Usually isn't necessary to uninstall the app that prompted the problem, but it might help. In the case of more modern apps, there may be settings available in one or more of the apps that you can use to change associations, also. -- Gary S. In "Windows Explorer" you could: Select "Folder Options..." on the "Tools" menu Hm, no such menu item here. BUT it would probably be easier to uninstall and then reinstall the application you want to be associated with the document type(s). My thanks to you and the others. I uninstalled the app. My choice app had a list (if very limited) of extensions to set associations for. Jim L -- To h___ with Iraqi democracy! Withdraw the troops! Or something!!!! |

OK, so your question actually is, you have another viewer already installed
and you want to make it the default viewer. If so, left click a file (.jpg for example), hold down the shift key and right click the file, select Open With, mark the Always... box and select the viewer. Repeat on any other photo types you use. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo wrote in message ...
