video card
Hmm. ISA, PCI, and the various flavors of AGP are the usual interfaces
used. ISA went away many years ago. Is this what you mean by "type"? I've found it much faster to open up the case and pull out and look at stuff, than use software that's not as specific and subject to mistaken identity. Some generic video cards will have no make/model printed on them. In this case, there's two alternatives. Find the biggest chip on the card (video chip) and write down the alphanumeric sequence and chip maker. The other is the FCC ID code. Later video cards have a cooler affixed to the chip that cannot be removed without damage. "keith" wrote in message ... is there any way of finding out what type of video card you have without having to open your tower? Thanks |
