The "piece of information" is hardly informative or news, at this

And that warrants people to fly off the handle and post so much junk
in
response?

And who elected you to sit in judgement over what is worthy to post
here?

Does what I post irk you so much that you have to go to such absurd
lengths to ridicule it? Do you know how petty that makes you look?

Was it your plan to become the new MEB here?

since it was posted months ago, and every month thereafter,
by MS that in October the last groups would be closing.

It was just a single ****ing post, perhaps the only one in all of
usenet
to mention it.

You forgot to mention that Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still
dead...

Nice try.

That would be the correct analogy if, a month or a year from now, I
posted (again) that Microsoft's nntp server is no longer operating.

And you attribute too much to Microsoft - that they actually and
always
do what they say - and when.

LOL...the only one flying off the handle is you. Get a grip! I didn't
go to ANY lengths...I posted one very short reply. You can post
whatever drivel you like....you always do, and then as now you complain
about the replies like YOU were elected to judge posts and replies.
MS posted here (their groups) nearly every month with their
announcement. Are you the only one who did not see them? too busy
being an abusive bigot?

Hey Mr. Dickhead

Yes Ms illegal alien?

...we Latinos put question marks at the beginning and
the end of a sentence.....

Then go back to Mehico or Spain and have fun with your funky grammar.

but I can't expect you to know something like that

No, you shouldn't expect that. I'm supposed to know that Joan
"Archer"
is a latino name?

And "We" latinos? So you're a latino too - with a name like "Heather"
?
snip

Dickhead was the wrong phrase....apparently Bigot is closer to the
truth. And freaking stupid to boot. Someone named Heather can't be
Latino? Man, you are truly ignorant. I know two Mexican Americans
locally who are named Heather. I'm amazed at how well you can
stereotype with your head so far up your ass.

?Why are you surprised, we all knew it was going to happen so
have made the necessary changes and gone elsewhere for the same
groups.

Normally, people put question marks at the end of sentences.

And I didn't say I was surprised. I just posted a piece of information.

Why are you people getting all bent out-of-shape?

I guess running Windows ME makes people act and think strangely.

en el grupo de winME, está porque hemos sido amigos por años y
años. Nada hacer con WinME. ¿Usted entiende esto?

¿Por lo tanto, usted cree que esto es un club social?

We have been "meeting" here for at least 10 years, back when we all were
using WinME, so it is natural that we still meet here. I would assume you
have friends in your 98 group that you enjoy being with.

One shouldn't assume. \

¿Por qué no obtener una cuenta de facebook y jugar con tus amigos allí?

I have been on Facebook for 3 or 4 years. Probably longer than you have.
It's not all that, frankly. But for my hobby/business, it comes in handy
(designing jewellery).

I'm on Facebook now too (can't figure out why), and we spell that "jewelry"
around these parts (and pronounce it that way too). D

Does that answer your questions? I figure it is too hard for you to use a
translator, so answered in English.

Spanish, eh? What other languages use the question mark

Yeah... I expect a geomagnetic reversal of the poles anytime soon now,
that's why I keep an anchor by my bed, I don't want to be flung off the
earth while I'm sleeping when it flips over!
