Default shading tables in Word does not extend to left border

When using tabels in Word, I shade the row and it looks great on screen.
When printing there is a small "margin" inside the left border that is
blank. It makes using borders with shading look very odd, and without the
border, the other rows look as though they are extended to the left about
1/10". Do I need a new driver? I use Windows 2000 Professional and print to
a HP Laser printer.

Thank you much!
