I'm running Windows 98SE. How do I get rid of a drive letter that is not
being used?
I've uninstalled and deleted the software that put it there, but the drive
letter did not go away.

What does the drive letter represent? For instance, is it a partition on
your had drive, a compressed volume, a device such as a ramstick, or
something else?

It turned out to be the "Photo Capture" feature from my printer. It's a
long story, but it boils down to my not understanding my printer. It's a
Brother MFC210C, multiuse printer. The letter didn't show up (or I didn't
notice it) until I had installed the wrong drivers for a new TravelDrive.
Anyway, I don't want to get rid of it now, I found out I need it. Thanks for
responding so quickly to my question.
