What software was used to write the CD? Was it closed when finished? I
suspect the problem could well be due to hardware as there is no good
reason why a CD written on Win Me cannot be read on XP or the reverse.
The problem could be as simple as just a dirty lens on one of the drives.
Try cleaning the drive using one of the audio cleaning CDs.
