Default Install Windows 98 & XP

I have Windows 98 on a 20GB drive, how would be the
quickest/easiest/cheapest way to partition off 10GB & install XP Pro on the
other 10.
Can Delpart or Fdisk do that or have to partition when installed 98.
Thanks for any help.

FDISK cannot change the existing partitioning - it can only erase everything
and start over. Delpart won't help.

This product can re-arrange the existing partitioning without disturbing
your data, provided there is enough free space.

This is possible with Boot IT NG. You can get a free trial version.

http://www.bootitng.com/bootitng.html

You down load it to a folder and unzip it to a floppy. Use it like a
bootdisk.
Do not install it when you boot to it. Just cancel out of the first screen.
And go to partition work. There you can set a new partition. or more. Format
it to Fat32 if you want Win98 to see it. Or format to NTFS if you don't.
Before partition work...be sure to run a scan disk and defrag of your
current system to insure all data is at the front of your current drive. And
nothing is left hanging at thew end of curent configuration of the drive.
Once this is done boot to the floppy and set a new partition for the last
10gig of the drive. Then you can install XP to the second partition. Once
this is done each time you boot you will get a screen asking which OS to boot
to.
This has worked for me. Hope I have made all clear.
GooD Luck. Post Back.
