Default secru32.dll file

Have installed Belkin Desktop Network PCI Card, Model F5D5000 in my computer.
My computer is a Compaq Presario 7595 with Windows 98SE. When Windows
Installer detected the new hardware, it said load Belkin Installation Driver
CD-ROM. Then Install wizard asked for the Windows 98 CD-ROM and when
inserted into drive it searched for file "secur32.dll". This file was not
found on my Windows 98SE CD-ROM.

I call Belkin Free Technical Support and after explaining the problem, was
told the file “secur32.dll is required for installation of their Network PCI
Card. They said I should check with Microsoft about this file.

Next I went to Microsoft.Com web site and asked for the update for Windows
98 Second Edition. It gave me "Windows 98 Second Edition CD-ROM Directory
Listing (3 of 14)", but did not have "secur32.dll".

I then used the Search feature on the Microsoft.com and typed in
secur32.dll. The listing it showed did not specifically list secur32.dll,
but most of the list had a negative topic giving me the feeling there are
problem associated with this file.

I then went to Google.com and typed in secur32.dll. It gave me:

DLL-files.com - secur32.dll, free download
Here you can download secur32.dll free of charge. Just click the link below.
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl....shtml?secur32 - 19k -

I am not sure if I can trust this web site since it is not a Microsoft site
and could have worms/bugs/viruses when the file is downloaded.

Hence, I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this Windows 98SE
problem with installing a PCI Card Driver? If so, how was it solved?

If I have to use the file "secur32.dll", is safe to use?

How do I get a downloadable file from Microsoft?

Is the web site "www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?secur32" safe?

Never tried it. Only one way to find out - just make sure your AV and
anti-spyware progs are up 2 date.

Default secru32.dll file

????

Secur32.dll is a valid file.
The file you mention (secure32.dll) is not.
Secur33.dll is in Net7.cab.
It is not in base4.cab
