Mmm... Just wonder if it's related to your sound card. Not precisely your
error report but see :- "Error Messages When You Quit the Sounds and Multimedia Tool in Control Panel" http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;307908 Also, take a look at Jim Eshelman's excellent troubleshooting site. The following two URL's link directly to articles on WinME shutdown problems: http://www.aumha.org/a/shtdwnme.htm http://aumha.org/win4/a/shutdown.htm HTH Mart "Sean" wrote in message ... Well the error message Im getting has been posted. I havent used any other programs besides the general ones mentioned in these sites. Other than that, Im at a loss on this one. Just purchased a new virus scan a short while ago and is updated. Ad-aware and Spybot both do not indicate any wrong files. |

Now, I cannot access shortcuts on start menu, search for files is stalling, and now add/remove function is indentifying rundl32 error and windows installer error. |
