Default HP Pavilion recovery disks

I think my mother board may be stuffed. I want to replace
it with another MB, but the recovery disks from HP will
not run with this other board. Keeps telling me it's not a
Hewlett Packard.
Any suggestions
Jack

That's one of the major reasons one shouldn't buy from any of those "brand
names" places, e.g. OS is more or less locked to the hardware. Therefore you
get to buy it again, lucky you!
