I'm 15% through downloading a *.mpg file and was doing a bit of PC
housekeeping, and thought that I was setting the read-only flag on a
completed file (*.mpg) but, set it on the one that's currently
downloading, (15% done), immediately realised what I'd done and turned it
off again - do you think I've done any damage. Don't want to wait the
several hours to find it's knackered / did I ought to start it off again.

regards, Richard

I wouldn't have thought it did any damage because these programs have fairly
good fault checking as they are downloading. Also I dont think windows would
have actually altered the setting if the file was being written to as it was
being downloaded. If that makes sense. This is just my opinoin but see what
others think but I think your ok.
