Why should I buy a third window 98 SE CD?

Why, Well the first two are missing drivers that came on
it and after using it a while there missing. Ok, where is
the information going? Time after time when installing and
the process calls to put in windows 98 disk to install a
driver or an installation and after following procedures a
message comes up can't find driver or what ever it's
looking for.

1. Where is this information going after installing it a
few times?
I have gone through a second Disk and it's doing the same
thing.

2. Why?

3. Have you made these disks that after you use them
a few times the information just installs one last time
and just deletes off the CD?

4. Is it so you can charge hourly rates?

5. Do you do this cause you have cornered the market?

6. And can?

7. Then if not why is it that I can't ever get a
reply?

Must less be able to download this missing information. It
would be nice to receive a replacement CD along with what
to do to save this information. That is if you're not
doing it on purpose.

8. Are you?

9. Has this happened to you?

10. What did you do?

11. How do I get through to them?

AOL noob - you are not communicating with Microsoft. This is a public
newsgroup hosted by Microsoft. On occasion, a Microsoft employee might
check in to review the posts, but for the most part the free technical
support is provided by MVPs http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ and other
volunteers such as me.

Exactly what drivers are you missing on your PC? I assure you those drivers
were not erased from the 98SE CD.

First off there is no one here that made or distributed the disk. This =
may be an MS newsgroup but anyone here is not an MS employee, all who =
respond here do so on their own time and at no cost.

Now for part two. You have most likely thrown away some hard earned =
money for nothing, many get the "file not found" when installing certain =
things. What you need to do is use the browse button to point to the =
correct place on the disk where the files are. Another thing to do is =
use Find to look for the file on the disk.

Check here to see if it's on either the 98 or 98SE disk:
98Cabfiles.htm=20

Conflicts start where information lacks.

Instead of coming here and ranting and showing ignorance, why don't you just
politely ask a question?
Drivers do not disappear from a CD--they probably were not there in the
first place or you just aren't looking in the right place. For what device
do you need a driver?

When you use a valid email address in a public newsgroup like this, you are
bound to get tons of spam and emails with a virus attached so be advised.
