Firstly, it's JavaScript, not "java script". Secondly, what you are
describing is an error in trying to run JavaScript code, showing that
JavaScript is already enabled. (Unless it's VBScript, in which case the
same applies.)

The problem is with code on the specific page you were on. We can't see
what you're talking about without knowing the URL and what error you are
getting.

However, my inclination would be to report the bug to whoever (if
anyone) maintains the site being talked about.

Why did it suddenly start doing this?

If the site you are on used to work OK, it suggests that the webmaster
has changed the code, but made a mistake in the process.
