http://grystmill.com/pups/eight_weeks.jpg

Toy poodles (8 - 10 pounds, full grown, though now only about three
pounds.) Ten weeks old, this evening. One "silver" male (black now,
turns silver as he matures), one "apricot" male (reddish-brown that
turns very light at maturity), and one "phantom", mostly black with
white paws, cheeks and eyebrows (and a cute white blaze running up the
back or her tail.)

Alas, I would send you Beauty (the "phantom") but my wife tonight
insists they're all spoken for--and she also insists that Mom Bridget
isn't going to have any more for a while, if ever. I guess that's fair
since she's only two years old herself, though she's a great mother.
This is her second litter. Only had one pup, a silver female, last time.
That one's still in the family, youngest (20) daughter's, supposedly.
Father poodle is nominally older daughter's, but she's away to college
and can't have pets where she is. Younger daughter has yet to "find her
way" and is still at home. Lemme tell ya, six of these dogs under foot
is a bit much, and the big dog (Yukon sled dog mix) who lives on the
porch seems to have reached his limit, too, g. (Actually, for being as
big as he is, he's an old softie.) We only have a queen-size bed, and
they *all* insist on sleeping with us! Turning over is getting to be a
real artform.

Oh..........they are adorable. Thanks for sharing, GAry. And I can't blame
your wife at all. If I had a choice, of course, I would absolutely pick
phantom. I shudder to think; however, how a toy would fit into this busy
household.

Hope all goes well with both your girls, Yukon and your queen size bed. w

I am not! I am NOT in your group, thus I am not flickering. I answered
this post in XP Gen as I do all the rest that are cross-posted to Win98.
What part don't you understand or care to respond intelligently to?

As your wit is on the odd side, I don't have time for it. Get out of
Kirk-Land and don't bother replying to any of my posts as they are
fruitless.

Sleep is becoming a luxury to me as well and as of now I only maintain a

I am glad apricot is staying. I think it will do you and your wife a
world of good to have this dog. I hope it is not too difficult to track down
the two elderly ladies. As you can see I am returning to my normal posting
style.
New York City certainly got me hyper and seeing Ground-Zero for the first
time really blew me away. I took pictures, prayed, forgave the terriorists
who killed my brother's friend and one of my parents friends had a nephew
killed. 9-11-01 was a sad day for America and the World. I just hope and
pray to the Higher Power that Justice will be served. faint and weak smile
I will no be quiet and no longer dwell on this topic unless you want to say
something Gary

: Like I said, they're wearing me out. Right after I wrote the previous, a

: here daily, but whom I haven't managed to see recently, not since last
: fall. Both of them indicated they wanted a pup. Whether they were
: serious or just engaging in wistful desires, I don't know. But I have to
: make a serious effort to track them down, because they really have first
: dibs. One, the "apricot", is staying--wife fell in love with him.
