Default eTrust EZ AntiVirus 7.0.3.1

Computer Associates released an update today. There's no information
about what's changed. It appears to be all "under the hood."

Have you tried it out yet?? I am still back at 6.3.9 or some such. Did you
add it to the freebie one? Perhaps I should let the Loon know. He has been
busy painting.......

Cheers....Heather

Hi, Heather,

Yes, I installed the update. All went smoothly. I don't know if this
version resolves the conflict with his other application, but I'm sure
he'll want to know about it.

Cheers,
Tom

My version is 6.2.1.1, should I update?
And what is the procedure?

Harry, old and must keep up.

Heirloom:
To answer my own question:
The new version is not compatible with the old one.
If I continued with the update, I would loose the old settings.
Is that acceptable?

Harry, old and waiting.

The eTrust site has all the skinny on how to upgrade. You will need to
uninstall the old ver 6 in order to install the new ver 7. See he
http://crm.my-etrust.com/default.asp...e%206%20to%207
Don't know what "settings" you are referring to, but, you can always set
them again in the new version......quite acceptable.
Heirloom, old and did it

Heirloom:

The message talks about the settings.
That is probably referring to the personally set preferences in the options.
It seems that I can go ahead with the update/upgrade, because it will
automatically delete the old version for me.
Thanks.

Harry, old and free to choose.

Heirloom:

My update went flawlessly right from the download link which TomV supplied
and I thank him for.
There is no provision in the new version for optional settings.
In all probability that's the drawback of this update.
Looking at the bright side, it is a plus, because one doesn't need them
anymore. There you have it: life made easy, henceforth "EZ AV".

Harry, old and up-to-date again.
