Duplicate IRQs
Do duplicate IRQs signify anything, and
should they be removed? Details omitted, but I am having trouble installing 1999 fax software and scanner hardware on a new fast Pentium 4 under Win98SE I just noticed several duplicated IRQs e.g. IRQ 5 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering -- three times IRQ 11 Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller -- three times IRQ 11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering -- three times (thus total 8 entries for IRQ 11, of 5 different types) IRQs 6 to 10 simply not listed by MSINFO32.EXE -- and there six entries for IRQ 5 include the Modem, ATI TV features, Ethernet, USB controller, ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering, and Intel USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller (whatever that means.)
