Fatal Error

Hello everyone,
I been getting this message for almost a month.First
screen blinks, then pc shuts down.Message was something
like"System memory is running low". When i try to reboot
it, i got this message "A fatal exception has occured at
0028:c000 4fd8. In VXD VMM(01) & 00003FD8. The current
application will be terminated"
I checked the memory its 75% free.
I heard its worm.
Does anyone have any idea what should i try?

A lot of software has a "load at startup" or similar
message option: your printer, for instance. Switch as many
of these off as you can afford to. Also, if you have a
huge amount of fonts, these will slow things down and eat
memory capacity. Get rid of the ones you don't use. In
fact uninstall any software you haven't used in the past
three weeks or so. This ought to free up some memory, if
that really is the problem. It could, of course, be a
false error message. But these are the things I would be
