Default Tahoma font missing from my computer

I am new to computers and so please bear with me. I think I deleted my Tahoma font somehow???I get an error message that it is no longer present and to run setup program to instal it. I don't want to make a greater problem, do I use the operating system backup up CD? What disc do I use to reinstal the Tahoma font? What ever I did, I can no longer read my saved files in word. Can y0u help me?

Hi Planegirl,
Tahoma Regular font = TAHOMA.TTF
Tahoma Bold font = TAHOMABD.TTF

Use System File Checker to extract these files from the W98 installation CD.
StartRun and type SFC in the box, and hit Enter.
Need help with SFC? See he

It may depend on what version of Word you have.
Tahoma is available in some Word or Office CDs.

No sweat.
Tahoma used to be available from MS but that stopped some time back.
I doubt that it would be difficult to find a copy in case the OP could
not find the Word or Office CD.
