I have adobe version..... "whatever came with my instal of 98se", and
thats about it.
Have noticed a lot lately where unless I have a later/better version, I
can't d/load lots of things;; so, is Riva offering something that
can be used with 98 to overcome the adobe problem? (I hate adobe...
should be used to make bricks and thats all.)

Look into Foxit. Much less intrusive than Acrobat, and recent versions
did most of what's needed, and ran under '98; not sure if current
versions do, but oldversions should be findable if not.

Foxit is a PDF reader, not a FLV player.

Sorry, didn't know Adobe made a FLV player.

Thats okay....
I need something to be able to read newer adobe stuff too;; same with a
'flash player', as I have noticed about 30% on web sites I visit dont
d/load;; I mean, the content of the page is unavailable due to
inferior flash player etc. (still not sure what to do about this.)

Once again looking for a good FLV player for 98. Seems as
FLV technology develops newer FLVs won't play. Yes I have
VLC. Usually plays everything but just don't care for it.
Have Winamp too. Only plays SOME FLV's with FFDSHOW. Would
like a small standalone package.

Tried ANVSOFT v2 this morning and it would be OK were it
not for 'calling home' every startup checking for newer
version!

Any good software you can pass along?

I love and use Zoom Player, http://www.inmatrix.com/

I bought the pay version so I could use it for DVDs.

ZP doesn't include all the codecs and splitters you need. I
remember I had to get the Halai splitter before .flv files
would play.

They may have simplified the install process since I got it
years ago.

I also like the program because it exposes some of the
internals on how the codecs, splitters, fit together.
