My display is messed up -- a series of dots make the
images -- I've gone to Windows Update per onscreen
instructions to update the display file, but Update says
that I don't need any.
My daughter may have tried to download Microsoft Money
Express (I think that's what it's called) because amessage
comes up saying that we don't have enough pixels of color
to use the program.
Any ideas? It has really messed up my computer -- so I
think that something is running that I can't close out.

Reboot to Safe Mode
Open Device Manager
Remove ALL Display Adapters
Remove ALL Monitors
Reboot to Normal Mode - Windows will reinstall the required drivers -
hopefully curing your problem.
