Lost Bottom of Screen

I've lost the use of about an inch at the bottom of my
screen. This is both on my desktop and all applications.
I would so appreciate some help with this....as I've tried
everything I know....which is not alot. I've read the
other posts on this board...but nothing is helping.

You probably have screen adjustment buttons on the monitor. Use the
vertical positioning and the vertical sizing settings.

I've tried that...to no avail. I've gone into DISPLAY
and tried everything imaginable...to no avail. It's like
there is a one inch band across the bottom of screen. If
I drop an icon from my desktop....it goes behind this
area. Something is covering it. I hid my taskbar...but
there is still this the blank area. The area is
green...as is my desktop. ????

How many days has this been happening and do you recall what you did with
the PC immediately prior to the problem occurring? Do you regularly scan
your PC with an up to date anti virus program? Have you done any
spyware/adware scans and if so, with what programs were used and were they
up to date?
