Default Run-Time Error 13

When I try to launch a program called DefragMagic, I receive the message:

Run-Time Error 13
Type Mismatch

Any solutions out there?

I am running Windows ME.

Thanks for your help.

debba:

You may want to check and verify the Regional Settings using Windows Control
Panel:

Decimal Symbol = '.' Current Settings = ','
Display Leading Zero = True or '0.7' Current Settings = 'True'

If your settings are correct, disable this message.

(See Google!)

Harry.

As 'DefragMagic' (which sounds a little like snake-oil) is not part of WinMe
and, assuming that this is the only program producing Run-Time error reports
(you have not mentioned having others issues) then you may be better off
addressing your query direct to the SimplisIT Corporation's support site,
whom I'm sure would be delighted to be able to help you. That's what you
paid them for - oh, and they offer a money-back guarantee :-
http://www.symplisit.com/en/support.ask.html

In the meantime, try uninstalling 'DefragMagic' then running System Restore
and roll-back to the time BEFORE you installed it and then try re-installing
it again (if you think you really need it and can't manage without it) to
see if that helps. If not, review the earlier paragraph.

Personally, I've always found WinMe's own inbuilt Defrag utility quite
adequate.

Good luck.

Mart
