wireless network no longer working
I've had a wireless network up and running for over a year now, it was
working fine up until last Wednesday, when I powered it back up and it didn't want to play. WAP is a US Robotics USR 012249 connected to a hub. Internet connectivity is a DSL line connected by USB to a PC running Windows ME. PC also runs Nat32 which provides DHCP and NAT services to all other devices connected to the hub. Other Win ME box and XP Laptop using ethernet cable all work fine and get IP addresses from Nat32 and can access the local network and internet. XP Laptop with Belkin wireless network adapter cannot see the USR 012249 WAP but can see my neighbours netgear WAP. Nat32 diagnostic logs tell me it is assigning an IP address to the USR 012249 WAP of 192.168.0.102 - as would be expected as my other ME box is 101 and the laptop on ethernet is 103 USR 012249 WAP has power LED on red, link LED on green and data LED flashing green after it has been reset as USR instructions (hold down reset, power off then power back on and count to 10) USR support are being far from helpful, does anyone here know what the problem might be or what the LEDs are trying to tell me ? Best - Blu |
