Default error message on startup - W0L588.vxd

I found this error message on the startup of my windows
98 machine. I can't find any reference to this error any
where within the Knowledge Base and there's little help
online. Anyone know how to fix this one. Thanks.

Apparently refers to an Intel Pro Desktop (Network) adapter, though I =
can't find anything on Intel site that directly mentions that file. You =
might try simply reinstalling the drivers for that device--if you =
actually have one, and if this makes any sense at all. Make sure you =
definitively identify your network adapter before proceeding.
