MSpaint.exe is not on my Windows ME
Good afternoon. I have recently bought a refurb laptop with Windows ME
already installed so I do not have the installation CD. My kids want to use MSpaint.exe to draw pictures but after doing a search in the explorer I can't see it anywhere. Is there any way I can reinstall MSpaint without the original CD? |

Hi Steve
Try - Navigate Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Windows Setup/Accessories/Details/Scroll down to Paint and tick box -- Delboy A common mistake that people made when trying to design something completely foolproof was to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. Probably hasn't been enabled.
To install it :- Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs \ Windows Setup tab Highlight the Accessories option and select Details. Scroll down to 'Paint' and tick the checkbox. If WinMe has been installed correctly, then paint should install itself from the appropriate files on your hard disk. Your CD should not be required. BTW - subject to the above proviso, there should be a complete copy of the WinMe installation files in either C:\Windows\Options\Install or \Cabs folder Mart "Steve B." Steve wrote in message ...
