Ask a more precise question. CAB files are
not "installed" during Win98 SETUP. They
hold (hundreds of) drivers of which you need
one or two dozen.

Default installation problem

Probably a scratched or dirty installation CD. You might
drie installing from a different CD drive. Even installing
a different one temporarily.
