Default Japanese sofware

To whom it may concern,
My name is Manny and my question is this:
What do I need to run Japanese software in my U.S. version
WinME computer.
Here is a little background for you. I am currently
stationed overseas with my wife and kids. We have a
Gateway Computer with Windows ME installed on it. My wife
is Japanese and has just purchased some Japanese software
but it will not install properly. I figured it would work
seeing how our operating system met the requirements
needed for it. I am hoping to find a software patch so
that we can install and run Japanese software. Without
changing operating system or buying a new Japnanes
cmputer. Its just not cost effective seeing how 95% of
what we do is in English and only about 5% in Japanese.
Thank you
Manny
