CD showing as Local Disk
I am attempting to install a 56x cd-rom from AOpen. It is recognized at dos
when using the w98 boot disk and is accessible. When I boot into windows it shows as a local disk, with the same icon as c: and d:. When I try to explore the drive I get: 'The folder was either moved or removed' error message. I have load the realmode drivers and then I get drives one as a cd and one as the local disk. The cd icon opens but is always empty, and windows still sees the cdrom as the local disk. Is there a way to get the drive to operate correctly in windows? Thom |
